Gov. Walker joins GOP candidates in La Crosse
Brad Schimel, Julian Bradley and Tony Kurtz attend event
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — One day after the gubernatorial debate in Eau Claire, Gov. Scott Walker is back on the road and visited La Crosse on Saturday.
Walker, along with Brad Schimel, Julian Bradley and Tony Kurtz, met with people to encourage them to get out and vote Nov. 4.
Chairman of the La Crosse County Republican Party Bill Feehan said this gives everyone an opportunity to meet the candidates.
“I think it’s wonderful that in our democracy, you still have a chance to walk up and talk to these people that want a chance to represent you in our government,” said Feehan.
Next year the Republican state convention will be held in La Crosse. At last year’s state convention, Feehan said La Crosse County was named the top county in Wisconsin.
