Governor Walker continues storm damage tour

Walker stops in Iowa, Grant counties

Wisconsin’s Governor is continuing his survey of storm damage from this weekend.

Governor Scott Walker stopped at a family farm in Iowa County,  about 45 miles west of Madison. The barn there was hit hard and debris was scattered.

He also stopped in Grant County earlier. The governor says Tuesday is less about declaring anything and more about showing support for Wisconsin communities. “Certainly as we look at this more closely we’ll look at there’s objective criteria that Wisconsin Emergency Management sets up,” said Governor Walker, “we looked at some of that last week with the damage and we’ll look at this as part of an overall package for both what the state and potentially what the federal government can add.”

Walker says any federal assistance depends on the criteria FEMA has in terms of a dollar amount.
