Governor Walker, wife stop in La Crosse on ‘Cabinet on the Road’ tour
Tonnette spends morning at The Family and Children's Center
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Governor Scott Walker and members of his cabinet are making more than 100 stops in 10 western Wisconsin counties, including our area.
The governor, his wife, and more than 35 officials from his administration began the tour Monday night and continued all day Tuesday, including stops in La Crosse.
Tonnette Walker spent Tuesday morning touring The Family and Children’s Center’s Stepping Stones Child Advocacy Center. She says these kinds of stops are important for the administration to reach out to their communities.
“Well, I think they’re important for the cabinet sectors to get out of Madison, go out and meet the people that they service and the people that really want to see them and hear from them,” said Tonnette Walker.
Tonnette also stopped by La Crosse County Health and Human Services as part of the Governor’s ‘Cabinet on the Road’ tour.
