ST. PAUL, Minn. (WKBT) – Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan will be visiting several Minnesota school districts in-person and virtually through the Statewide Safe Learning Tour, according to a press release.
Tuesday, Sept. 8 is the first day of school for Minnesota school districts. Gov. Walz and Lt. Gov. Flanagan will be visiting schools in Mankato, St. Paul, Bloomington, Moorhead, Duluth, Wyoming, and several others over the next few weeks. Both Walz and Flanagan will be thanking students, teachers and parents for their efforts adapting to the pandemic.
Minnesota school districts and charter schools are starting the year off in either in-person learning, hybrid learning, or online learning models through the state’s Safe Learning Plan.
