WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – Emergency Assistance Grant programs are available to assist Winona County businesses, renters, and homeowners experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Southeastern Minnesota Multi-County Housing & Redevelopment Authority (SEMMCHRA) and Winona Volunteer Services launched the programs for businesses with fewer than 25 employees, and make less than $1 million in annual revenue. The funding can be used for payroll, rent/mortgage, and other expenses.

Eligible renters and homeowners are those who meet income guidelines and have lost income due to COVID-19 that has not been replaced. Money can be spent on mortgages, rent, utilities, or other related expenses.

More information is available on the SEMMCHRA website.
