Ground was broken Friday in West Salem on a new repair facility for large mining equipment
WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) — Wisconsin Lift Truck is getting ready to build a 15,000 square foot facility to service railcar movers, as well as things like lift trucks and aerial equipment.
A spokesperson for the company said it’s looking forward to working with the community on the project.
The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Jim Dutkiewicz said, “The importance is to get close to our customers in this area. There’s some frac sand mining going on here, and we want to be able to take care of our customers’ needs.”
This new facility will be located on Industrial Drive in West Salem.
It will be the eighth facility the company has built in the state.
