Group of actors teach area kids to stand up to bullies
CLIMB Theatre group gave performances to various age groups
BANGOR, Wis. (WKBT) — A group of actors from the Twin Cities came to Bangor Elementary School Friday morning to talk to students about bullying.
The CLIMB Theatre group put on a variety of skits talking about bullying and how to stand up to bullies.
The group gave three separate performances for various age groups, which involved audience interaction to help the message hit home.
“We’re trying to get bystanders to be brave and stand up to bullying. We’re also teaching them to be assertive, to say the words I don’t like what you’re doing and I want you to stop, and also to speak using a strong voice if you’re ever put in that situation,” said Ricardo Beaird, actor/educator with the climb theatre.
