GROW La Crosse sets several events to teach about gardening
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — GROW La Crosse will host free Open Gardens events at various sites throughout the city to learn about gardening.
The events will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursdays through Aug. 18. GROW provides garden education at seven area schools, a farm camp, greenhouse and farm field trip experiences and summer school for area youths.
The nonprofit focuses on teaching youngsters about making healthy food choices through seed to table hands-on learning experiences.
