Gundersen further restricts visitors at its hospitals and clinics

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- Gundersen Health System has updated its visitor restrictions at its La Crosse and affiliate hospitals and clinics amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Effective March 16, one visitor/support person is allowed per patient, per day for the hospitalization.
Visitors must be 12 and older.
As always, visitors are asked to stay home if they are ill or have traveled. They will be asked specific questions regarding health and travel before they are given access to floors or other screening questions deemed necessary.
There are some exceptions. End-of-life, interpreter and pediatric situations will be handled on a case by case basis.
Visitors are also asked to drop off and pick up patients, rather than waiting inside the facilities.
