Gundersen Health System easing visitor restrictions
The policy change is due to a recent decline in COVID-19 spread in the La Crosse community, the health system says

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Beginning on Monday, Jan. 4, Gundersen Health System hospitals and clinics are allowing patients to bring one person with them who is 16 years old or older.
The ease in visitor restrictions is due to a recent decline in COVID-19 spread in the La Crosse community, officials with the health system say.
COVID-19 positive patients who are hospitalized, or who have symptoms in Emergency Services and Urgent Care are still restricted to bringing in visitors. Pediatric patients will continue to be allowed to bring one person with them.
