Gundersen Health System food drive runs through Sunday

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — You can help local families in need by donating nonperishable goods to Gundersen Health System.

Donations will help restock the food pantries at Hamilton Elementary in La Crosse and schools in Onalaska.

To date, worksite wellness consultant Jessica Boland says Gundersen has donated more than 8,500 pounds of food.

“Doing these food drives, we’re able to fulfill a need of making sure that students have enough food throughout the day so that they’re energized and can sleep well at night,” Boland said.

The food drive runs through May 15.

You can drop off your nonperishable goods in the donation bins on the La Crosse and Onalaska Gundersen campuses.
