Habitat For Humanity ReStore celebrates 10 years of community service

An area nonprofit is celebrating a milestone Saturday.

The La Crosse Area Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore celebrated its 10anniversary.

The store provides building materials for lower prices while raising money for the mission of the Habitat for Humanity.

On Saturday, the store offered birthday cake, brats and hamburgers, and special discounts on store items.

Habitat for Humanity says the store’s growth over the years has a local impact.

“Our space has grown, our inventory has grown and the number of people who come and shop has grown. So we’re seeing a massive amount of money coming into the restore and the really cool thing is that any of the profits that we receive off the restore goes right back to Habitat for Humanity and helps families right here in our communities,” said Kayha Fox, executive director of the Habitat for Humanity for the La Crosse Area.

If you would like to donate to the ReStore, you can.

It accepts most building materials including cabinetry, furniture, doors and appliances.
