Harmon charged in Black River Falls homicide
BLACK RIVER FALLS, WI — The man arrested for a homicide in Black River Falls last month is now charged with first degree intentional homicide.
Police say 36 year old Michael Harmon killed Angela Nelson. She was shot to death and found in the bathtub of her residence June 9th.
According to the criminal complaint filed Friday, Harmon and Nelson had been verbally and physically fighting that night.
Harmon stated that Nelson took a gun he was carrying and waved it in his face. Harmon says he struggled with Nelson to get it back, but the gun went off and Nelson died.
The medical examiner who performed the autopsy says evidence around the gun shot wound does not corroborate the statement that Nelson was shot at close range.
Harmon faces life in prison in convicted.
