Hawk fits in flight with Blue Angels in between OTA practices

Wednesday was the first day of practices for the Packers’ offseason Organized Team Activities. Thursday’s session will be the first one open to the media and public (weather permitting).

With OTA’s in full swing, Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk still found time to escape Green Bay and get a quick round-trip to La Crosse in order to fly with the Blue Angels.

“We’ve got some great new young guys in the draft and you pick up a guy like Julius Peppers you have to feel pretty good about that,” said Hawk prior to the flight of his lifetime.

“Today was our first day of OTA’s on the field actually practicing, playing real football. It was a lot of fun and it was good to get back out there and I think everybody is kind of excited to get on the field and realize that the season is going to be here before you know it.”

OTA’s take place over the next three weeks. Green Bay will then hold it’s mandatory minicamp June 17-19. Players then report for training camp on July 25.
