Head Coach Randy Storlie earns win number 600 as Blair-Taylor beats Alma-Pepin 71-37
BLAIR, Wis. (WKBT)–It’s been a long time coming for Coach Randy Storlie.
In his near 40 years with the wildcats, he’s seen success over the years, but was more focused on clinching the Dairyland with the win over Alma-Pepin.
“Some of the names that are in the 600 win club are people that I looked up to as a very young coach, and now all of a sudden I’m going to be one of those people up there. Hopefully someday I can mentor some coaches as well, but to join that group and that elite group of people is something I never thought would happen,” said Storlie.
“To me everything is about the team. I want them to have a great experience. My number’s going to come. I’ll get the 600 eventually. Hopefully it happens tonight, because that means then my kids will get their conference championship. And that’s far more important to me,” he added.
The team made quick work of Lincoln, to clinch the division.
