Health experts at Mayo Clinic Health System share tips to avoid post pandemic anxiety

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – As the country transitions back to normal, health experts at Mayo Clinic Health system want to make sure you know how to deal with post-pandemic anxiety.

Mayo Clinic experts say the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way many people lived their lives.

But as people go back to life like it was before, about 20% of U.S. adults reported a decline in mental health due to the pandemic.

The best thing you can do is to not rush back into things and to take it one step at a time.

“A lot of situations that make you feel anxious or do you take a more gradual approach and there’s not necessarily the best way its a matter of what way is going to work best for you,” said clinical psychologist at Mayo Clinic Health System, Carol Goulet.

Mayo Clinic Health System psychologists say that if post-pandemic anxiety is a problem for you, seek help from someone on your health care team.
