Highlight Zone Countdown: Houston Hurricanes
HOUSTON, Min. — One decade ago Dale Moga was playing for the Houston Hurricanes. Now he leads the program.
The 2005 Houston graduate says he’s excited leading his hometown team.
“Just trying to give back to a community that has given me so much throughout the years growing up here, graduated here, and just knowing the tradition.”
Moga clearly remembers the success the program enjoyed shortly after his playing days with their state run 2007 and state championship in 2008.
“Just trying to get it back to the top, having fun, and building those relationships with it.”
“He’s great. You can ask him anything. He knows the answer to any question you got, any sports question at all,” said senior Hunter Laschenksi.
Houston graduated a huge senior class of 17. However a few starters return as well as Laschenski who won all three games he started at quarterback last season.
“I waited my whole varsity career. I’ve waited for this moment and it’s finally here.”
