Hixon Trails closed for Hixon Forest Epic
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Trails in Hixon Forest will be closed this weekend to make way for an epic event.
An off-road bike race called the Hixon Forest Epic is Sunday in La Crosse.
The race is part of the Wisconsin Off Road Series.
It brings more than 400 cyclists from across the Midwest to race along the trails, which are an unusual feature for bikers in the state.
“We offer a pretty unique course from the elevation challenges to some of the new flow trails that we incorporate this year,” said Robbie Young, Hixon Forest Epic Race Director.
Racing is scheduled to start at 9:30 Sunday morning.
The action starts at the Upper Hixon Forest Park along County Road FA.
