Holmen Area Fire Department has new fire truck
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) — The village of Holmen has a new fire truck.
The $862,000 truck is known as a quint, meaning it has five functions.
Along with a water tank and hoses, the truck also has a pump, ground ladders and an aerial ladder.
The aerial ladder extends 110 feet which is needed to replace older equipment as the Holmen area grows.
“It’s lighter in weight, and with a lot of the newer designs from 1989 to 2016, the technology designs, we’re going to get a lot more flexibility,” said Holmen Area Fire Chief Buck Manley.
The new truck will go into service after department staff has been trained.
