Holmen H.S. students hold fundraiser for 4 year old girl fighting cancer

Local students raise hundreds of dollars for a girl, none of them have actually met.

Holmen High School held a miracle minute Friday morning collecting donations from any students to help Hailey Roser, a Milwaukee girl fighting a rare type of brain cancer.

They raised $800, all of which will go to help Hailey and her family.

Earlier this week, students and staff produced a YouTube video to try to get her idol, Justin Bieber to visit her.

One student says the community response has been incredible. “She isn’t stopping her strength and her perseverance through this and we’re not going to give up on her. Seeing that a community can come together so well and for someone that we don’t even know, it’s such an amazing experience, and I’m at comfort that if anything ever happened to me and my family that my community would be there for me, and it’s really awesome,” said Holmen Sophomore Emily Mihalovic.

The students are also taking orders for ‘Healing Hailey’ bracelets, another fundraiser to help the family.
