Holmen High School hosts school business officials conference

HOLMEN (WKBT) — Holmen High School hosted the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials Conference on Wednesday.

Employees in custodial and maintenance positions received professional development through classes and workshops.

Training workshops included how to stop bleeding, how to operate a fire extinguisher, and plumbing.

Employees also learned more about what it takes to run a school district efficiently.

“Safety is our number one priority,” said Kaitlyn Peters, professional development and member services coordinator. “We want kids to be able to come to school and feel safe and get an excellent education in Wisconsin. So these folks really make that happen.”

24 school districts participated in the conference.
