Holmen police arrest 2 people for child neglect resulting in death

HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) — Holmen police arrested two people on Tuesday for party to the crime of child neglect resulting in death and physical abuse of a child.

Holmen police arrested 30-year-old Dylan Michael Bartsh, of Altura (formerly of Holmen), and 24-year-old Jaymie M. Rundle, of Holmen.

The investigation began on October 28, 2014 when Bartsh’s 3-year-old daughter was hospitalized for a seizure. Details surrounding the investigation have not been released yet.

Bartsh is being held in the Winona County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Wisconsin. Rundle is being held in the La Crosse County Jail.

The La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department, La Crosse County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Onalaska Police Department, the Winona County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation assisted Holmen police in this investigation.
