Holmen rides strong start to conference victory over Sparta

HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT)–Combining for over 300 yards, the Vikings rushing attack was too much for Sparta Friday night, in a 41-21 victory.

Backup quarterback Luke LeClaire found the end zone first on a keeper, before Corbin Hauser fielded a kick return for the Spartans to tie the game up at 7.

That would be the only time Sparta found the end zone until the 4th, as a staunch defensive set kept Sparta from finding a flow on offense.

However Holmen would score an unanswered 20 points to lead 27-7 at the half, thanks to running backs Sam Barnett and Breken Turner.
