Holmen, Sparta moving football, volleyball, soccer to alternate spring season

Sources from Holmen and Sparta High School confirmed to News 8 Now Sports Thursday night that their football, volleyball and boys soccer teams would be moving to the WIAA alternate spring season, after their activities were shut down in September due to COVID-19.

Though both schools began seasons this fall for those sports and played games, except in football, the WIAA is allowing schools that complete less than half their season to move to the spring option.
