Home sales remain up across Wisconsin
Average home prices up 14.2 percent across Wisconsin
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Wisconsin Home sales are up again.
Nearly 7,452 homes were sold in the state in May.
That is up 12.1 percent from the same time last year.
The average home price is also up 14.2 percent.
The average price for a home in western Wisconsin is $235,000, $10,500 below the state average.
“Our supply side the choke point and there is more demand then there is homes for sale. So it will be a while before things balance out. Unless something drastic happens, interest rates go way up or things like that that really would hurt affordability,” said La Crosse Area Realtors Association president Kent Gabrielsen.
Mortgage rates are still down from a year ago.
