Hotel, restaurant to close in Stevens Point
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) — A hotel that’s been a landmark in the city of Stevens Point since the 1960s will close this weekend.
The Ramada and the Tilted Kilt restaurant will shut their doors Sunday, leaving 104 people without work.
The Ramada’s general manager, Tim Mueller, says it’s no longer economically viable to keep the hotel in operation.
Stevens Point Convention and Visitor’s Bureau executive director Sara Brish tells WAOW-TV she’s working with the hotel to find room and event locations for people who already had reservations.
