Houston Hoedown Days wraps up in Houston
Started in 1974, creating family fun for generations
HOUSTON, Minn. (WKBT) — Parades and antique cars and tractors were in full view this weekend, wrapping up the 2015 Houston Hoedown on Sunday.
From tractor pulls to nightly dances and entertainment, Houston Minnesota’s annual Hoedown has something for everyone. The event started way back in 1974, creating family fun for generations.
Organizers say it’s also a good chance for neighbors to enjoy each others company.
“It’s a tremendous opportunity to renew friendships with old friends. We see class reunions going on and it’s just a wonderful time for family and for people to get together and just have a great time,” said Houston Hoedown Days Board of Directors Member Ron Evenson.
Entertainment continued through the night with live music.
