The Library first opened February 23rd, 2002
HOUSTON, Minn. (WKBT) – The Houston Public Library is celebrating a milestone
The library opened in doors 20 years ago.
To celebrate, staff are thanking the community with a series of events from take home kits to free theme baskets and even story time at home kits.
The library marks a chapter in the state’s history of keeping information available for the community.
“We were featured on a book, ‘The Libraries of Minnesota’ and the author is coming back on February 7th here at the library from 7 to 8 [p.m.] to celebrate the book,” said Houston Public Library librarian Liz Gibson-Gasset.
Events continue through throughout the month.
