Hundreds gather for La Crosse County Dairy Breakfast

Annual breakfast held at Rudey Farm in Town of Burns

Thousand left with full bellies after attending the annual Dairy Breakfast in La Crosse County this morning.

Plates were piled high with pancakes and much more at the Ruedy Farm in the Town of Burns.

Normally the host farm is chosen by the dairy breakfast board, but this year, the Ruedy family asked to host the event. They wanted to do something special to celebrate the farm’s 100th anniversary, which is a milestone very few farms reach.

“Being a century farm is a very big accomplishment for a farm, it’s a third generation farm, 100 years in the family, it just doesn’t get better that and for it to be a family farm yet after 100 years, my hats off to the Ruedy family,” said Deb Schwarz, chair of the La Crosse County Dairy Breakfast Committee.

In addition to the food, there was a petting zoo, live music and education booths showing how dairy products are made.
