Hundreds in La Crosse for Wisconsin USBC Women’s Senior Tournament

About 450 competitors will take part.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Hundreds of people are rolling into La Crosse.

The 2021 Wisconsin State USBC Women’s Senior Tournament is underway at Pla-Mor Lanes.

About 450 competitors, 50 years of age and older, will compete in La Crosse over the next three weekends.

It’s the first time in at least 22 years Pla-Mor has hosted the event.

“It means a lot to us. It gives you some recognition that you host these tournaments. People get a chance to see what you have to offer in La Crosse,” said Pla-Mor Lanes owner Dick Zierke.

The tournament has been held throughout the state.

For bowlers, win or lose, the event is a lot of fun.

“It’s just a getaway to have a good time. Have a few drinks. Stay in a hotel. Have food service and relax,” said tournament participant Donna Carin.

The tournament runs weekends through October 24th.
