Hungry thief breaks into Cedar Falls McDonald’s

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) — Cedar Falls police are searching for a man who broke into a McDonald’s restaurant, cooked some food and then left.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that workers arrived early Sunday to find the drive-up window broken. Police say it appears food had been cooked in the restaurant. There was no immediate word on what he cooked.

The newspaper says security footage shows a man tapping on the glass at the drive-up. He broke the glass and climbed inside.

The restaurant closed at midnight.
