Man, Woman Found Fatally Shot Inside Juneau County Home Following Domestic Disturbance

ELROY, Wis. — The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man and woman who died in a domestic-related murder-suicide near Elroy last week.

In an updated news release Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said Laurie Jensen, 66, was the victim of a homicide and 69-year-old Gary Jensen died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. on Dec. 28 at a home on County Highway O east of Elroy. The county’s dispatch center got a call about a potential domestic disturbance at the home; during the incident, officials learned a gun was involved and shots were fired.

When deputies got to the scene, they found both people dead.
