IHOP giving away free pancakes Tuesday

You can get a free breakfast on Tuesday and do a good deed at the same time.

That’s because March 12 marks IHOP’s Free Pancake Day.

Customers can get a short stack of original buttermilk pancakes for free during the promotion, which the restaurant chain previously called National Pancake Day.

While you don’t have to pay for your pancakes during the promotion, IHOP is collecting donations.

All money collected will go toward helping children fighting critical illnesses.

There are some rules for your free pancakes. The deal is dine-in only and can’t be taken to go. It’s also only good while supplies last.

The deal will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations participating until 10 p.m.

IHOP has been holding the promotion since 2006 and has raised nearly $30 million for charity during that time.
