Information session to be held about possible La Crosse wheel tax
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse’s Mayor is set to introduce a $25 Wheel Tax per vehicle per year to the Common Council next month.
City leaders want to explain the idea and hear from those who would be impacted first.
Two Public Information Sessions will be hosted this month.
One on Monday, August 27th and the other Thursday, August 30th.
Both will go from 5 to 6:30 p.m. each night on the City Halls first floor Council Chambers.
A public hearing is also scheduled for Tuesday, September 4th, starting at 6 p.m., also at the City Hall Council Chambers.
The County government is also considering a wheel tax, which will be further considered after voters answer an advisory referendum question on the proposal this November.
