Injuries reported in semi vs. minivan crash in Vernon County

A two-vehicle crash on Highway 35 was reported Monday afternoon in the town of Wheatland.

According to Vernon County Sheriff John Spears, at approximately 1:20 p.m., a minivan driven by Patrick Brown was attempting a left-hand turn onto Zitzner Road when a semi truck struck it from behind. The semi, driven by Musbah Abdalla, then crossed the center line and went over an embankment. The minivan stayed on the roadway.

Brown was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
