Iowa authorities investigate woman’s death
WALCOTT, Iowa (AP) — Iowa authorities say an autopsy has been scheduled on a woman’s body found in a burning house.
The Walcott Police Department says the fire was reported Sunday. Firefighters found the body after they entered the house to attack the flames.
Investigators say the fire probably was caused by an unattended cigarette.
The 87-year-old woman lived alone in the house. Her name has not been released yet.
