Iowa no longer mailing out paper tax forms

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa taxpayers will no longer be getting paper tax forms and booklets delivered to their mailbox.

KCCI-TV reports the Iowa Department of Revenue has already stopped automatically mailing out the forms.

The department is recommending that taxpayers file their returns electronically.

Officials say the move is part of a focus on cutting costs by using technology.

Forms and instructions are available online at www.iowadot/tax, calling 1-800-532-1531 or by email at IowaTaxForms@Iowa.gov.
