Ithaca/Weston’s Kershner jumps at state despite major injury

Ty Kershner from Ithaca/Weston jumped 18 feet 10 inches in his first State meet long jump.

Kershner did not make the podium, but it’s an impressive mark.

Kershner has dealt with the autoimmune disorder lupus from age 7, suffered shoulder tears in both shoulders, and a compound fracture.
