Jamie Wall is running for 8th Congressional seat

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Business consultant Jamie Wall has announced his candidacy for the northeastern Wisconsin congressional district.

The 40-year-old Democrat does strategic planning and analysis for businesses out of Green Bay. He was raised on a dairy farm and won a Rhodes scholarship while at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He helped establish the northeast Wisconsin economic development organization called New North.

In a news release Wednesday, he says he knows firsthand how to bring people together to solve problems, improve the economy and create jobs.

The district is currently represented by U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble, the Republican businessman who unseated Democratic U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen last fall.

The election is in November 2012.
