John James Mannise

John James Mannise, 65 of Norwalk passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Serenity House, Tomah.

He was born on April 25, 1954 to James John and Edith Claudette (Riggs) Mannise in Chicago, IL. On October 22, 1992, John was united in marriage to Reba Marie Sutton.

As an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and knife making; taking great pride in having the knowledge to “live off the land.” His trips to Canada were among some of his most memorable. John absolutely adored his grandchildren and cherished the times they were able to spend together.

He is survived by his wife Reba of Norwalk, children, Shannon (Sean) Grant, Minooka, IL, John (Jessica) Mannise, Jr. of Milwaukee, Jesse Mannise of Norwalk, Melissa (Kyle) Graewin of Tomah, Jessica (Roger) Mannise of Sparta, Jaimie (Jared) Mannise of Ontario, and Josh (Chelsie) Mannise of Cashton, grandchildren, Alexis, Sean Jr., Mikey, Maddi, Jonathon, Jazz, Noah, Jaycee, Colt, Max, Tamara, Ariya, Jesslyn, Beau, and Juna, niece and nephew, Lori and Billy Neumann. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Sherri Neumann.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, 11:00 AM at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monroe Street, Tomah. Pastor Robert Streeter will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4pm-8pm and at the funeral home on Weds. from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
