Kay Riel

Kay L. Riel, 75. of French Island passed away Monday, May 9, 2022. at her home. She was born on December 6, 1946, to James and Lois (Burns) Klein.

On October 30, 1982, Kay married Robert Riel, and they celebrated over 39 years of marriage. Kay and Bob owned and operated Consumer’s Bakery & Catering for all of their married life. Kay was a hard worker and, when she wasn’t working, she loved boating, traveling and enjoying time with her family. Kay always put everyone’s needs before her own and never expected anything in return. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be so incredibly missed.

Kay is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughter, Nicole (Brian) Davis of Bangor; two grandchildren, Emily (Alex) Buchberger of Madison and Ethan Davis of Bangor; two sisters, and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Courtney Davis, and her brother, John
