La Crosse’s marsh cleanup project receives more than enough help from volunteers
About 125 people showed up to help, many of them college students

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – More volunteers were out Saturday helping to clear up the Marsh. While some people were clearing up the Bluffs, others went through the trails in Myrick as well.
As we take care of our community it’s better to have too much help than not enough. Some volunteers were turned away from one clean-up site to help at another.
“We actually signed up for the Bluff clean-up, but then they picked up so good this morning that we ended up coming down here and joining the Marsh pick up hoping for more garbage to pick up,” said Karola Wellert, who was volunteering with her kids.
