Kentucky shooting suspect might be headed to Wisconsin
Man might be with woman, 2 children
MADISON, Wis. — A man wanted for a shooting in Kentucky could be in Wisconsin with a woman and two children, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
Derrick Mays Thomas, 23, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, is wanted for the Friday shooting of a man and woman in Owen County. The man was shot in the hand and leg and the woman was shot in the arm. Both were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Thomas left the scene in a gray 2003 Mitsubishi Galant with Kentucky license plate number 124-VET.
Law enforcement said Thomas should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as white, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with blue eyes. He might be with his girlfriend, Elizabeth Neal, 22, and their two children, ages 1 and 3.
Thomas might be in the Winchester or Mt. Sterling areas of Kentucky, but might also be headed to Wisconsin.
The public is asked to not make any contact with Thomas and to provide any information on his whereabouts to law enforcement.
