“Kids From Wisconsin” perform at Riverside Park
The Broadway-style show features young Wisconsinites.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Music filled the air of Riverside Park on Thursday night thanks to the “Kids From Wisconsin.”
This year’s theme for the traveling group is “Live! In Living Color.”
The Broadway-style show highlights the greatest live venues in the United States and the musical performers that made them great.
Leo Chavolla-Barrera plays the bass trombone in the band and says it’s great to be back in this area to play for this community.
He’s originally from Mexico, but graduated from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School.
Chavolla-Barrera says, “I am very excited to play for a lot of people that I know, and also to get to know more people in my community that I know are going to enjoy the show.”
The group is made up of 37 performers, 22 of which are singers and dancers.
This is the 53rd year of the “Kids From Wisconsin” tour.
