Kids Ice Fishing day at National Fish Hatchery
More than 500 people showed up for event
GENOA, Wis. (WKBT) — The Genoa National Fish Hatchery got some families hooked on ice fishing Saturday.
The annual Kids Ice Fishing day was all about learning and having fun out on the ice. Kids learned about ice fishing methods and safety, and were then given a chance to test those lessons.
For some, it was all about the experience.
“A lot of fishing and things like that, there are a lot of things that a lot of kids don’t get to do and so these are a lot of experiences that kids can do that are fun, and things that they’ll remember when they’re older.”
More than 500 people showed up to learn about, and try their hand at, ice fishing.
