Kids meet Queen of Hearts at 2nd annual Mad Hatter Tea Party

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — Dozens of kids enjoyed the 2 nd annual Mad Hatter Tea Party at Valley View Mall on Saturday.

It is an Alice in Wonderland inspired event and it started as a way for the mall staff to thank the community and shoppers for their support.

The free event offered Mad Hatter Top Hat decorating, coloring and reading stations, and even a guest appearance by the Queen of Hearts herself.

“The fact that it’s free, the fact that we’re encouraging anybody to come, it’s mixed ages and it’s mixed generation. It’s that grandparent with the grandchild, we saw a lot of that happening, and really the fact that we just put it out there to everyone, the whole Coulee Region and the surrounding area,” said Laurie Café, the marketing director at Valley View Mall.

With Easter so early this year the Easter Bunny is also at the mall through next Saturday.
