Kiel coach accused of soliciting student for sex

KIEL, Wis. — Police said a coach in the Kiel Area School District is accused of sending sexual text messages to a student.

Authorities said the 30-year-old coach is a seasonal part-time employee and not a teacher. Chief Dave Funkhouser said the coach sent the student a photo and a message soliciting sexual contact.

The man was arrested Wednesday night and is being held on two possible felony charges, including exposing his genitals and exposing a child to harmful material.
