Kwik Trip opens 400th store

LA CROSSE, WI — It’s a milestone the company is celebrating.

Steve Wrobel, who works in Corporate Communications, says the company typically opens between 12 and 15 stores a year.

Not only does every new store help the corporation here in La Crosse, but it creates a number of new jobs.

“Each and every store of course creates about 25 jobs at the retail level and that in turn leads to growth here since we are so vertically integrated, it provides opportunities in our production areas, our dairy, our bakery, our kitchens,” says Wrobel.

Kwik Trip is 29th in the nation in terms of number of stores. 7-11 has the most with more than 6,500 nationwide.
