La Crescent Post 595 honors fallen teammate before game
In local Legion ball Wednesday, La Crescent Post 595 used their pregame to honor a fallen teammate, 20-year-old Jacob Dayton.
Dayton passed away in March after suffering a serious fall on the job with a local roofing company. A bench at the field in La Crescent is dedicated to Dayton.
La Crescent would go on to beat Viroqua Post 138 that night 5-4 in eight innings.
