La Crosse area residents voice support for Biden infrastructure bill
Citizen Action Wisconsin and Building Back Together join to support the bill
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Citizen Action Wisconsin and Building Back Together came together in La Crosse Monday to voice their support for President Biden’s infrastructure bill.
The current caregiving system is broken, they say.
“There has been a slight increase in funding with our current state budget. But it’s not enough and it doesn’t allow us to pay competitive wages,” said Independent Living Resources co-owner Kim Larson.
Rally organizers said President Biden’s Build Back Better plan includes historic investments in caregiving that will create hundreds of living wage jobs in the La Crosse area.
